Welcome To Our Flagship Program
Children in Between (CIB)
Developed in the early 1990’s the Children in Between program (formerly known as Children in the Middle) was designed through research that examined effective methods for reducing stress and conflict during divorce. Children in Between has the distinction of being the only divorce education program that is included on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Registry for Evidence Based Programs and Practices (NREPP). Children in Between is endorsed nationally by Judges, Lawyers, Mediators, Psychologists, Teachers and Parents.
This award winning curriculum is offered in two formats:
-
Children in Between Discussion Group (“in-class”) format with a DVD and Leader’s Guide.
The discussion group format is commonly offered by community agencies or independent providers * to parents mandated to attend a co-parenting or divorce education class by a domestic relations court. Children in Between On-line, Interactive, format.
In 2008, the Center for Divorce Education transformed our flagship program, Children in Between (formerly known as Children in the Middle), to an interactive online format. This new version of the same award winning curriculum allows parents to take this skills-based class at a time and place of their choosing. All that is needed is a computer with access to the Internet. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the online format is increasingly being used and accepted by courts across the United States to help meet requirements for parent education and to augment existing offerings in local areas. Please visit the Children in Between Online site CLICK HERE for more information about how to sign-up to take the class online.
