The new program addresses issues that the previous program didn’t, such as never-married separating parents, as well as divorcing parents, among many other changes. CLICK HERE TO SEE CHILDREN IN THE MIDDLE SAMPLES! We have added a cognitive component to most scenarios, where the viewer hears the parent’s thoughts before they interact with the other parent. With this method we demonstrate the power of our thoughts in determining how we behave. We also show and highlight additional communication skills during the scenarios. New topics include the child taking possessions to the other parent’s house, grandparent issues, coordinating homework, conflict between angry parents, how soon parents take on new relationships, and teen issues (driving privileges, spending time with peers, etc). Another new scenario deals with long distance parenting and a toddler’s and teen’s reluctance to go with the non-residential parent. The families are more ethnically diverse, with Latino, Asian, African American, mixed race children, in addition to Caucasian families. The acting is first rate and the program completely updated. The Discussion Leader’s Guide and workbook for parents have also been updated to reflect these changes. The new CIM II video kit will be available in June, 2005. A free demonstration DVD or VHS tape will be available which has segments of each of the five scenarios. Purchasers of the original CIM video will receive a discounted price. Please contact us (info@divorce-education.com) to reserve your free demonstration DVD or VHS (specify format) or for further information. Thank You! [BACK to CDE Home Page] |
